TEDx talks translation/transcription tracking spreadsheet - Self-updating
Why track translation/transcription progress on Amara?
There tens of thousands of TEDx talks available for transcription and translation, alongside TED-Ed and TED talks. A 15-minute talk means about 20 hours of work in total, with 6 steps to complete on the way. There are no tools to monitor the process except for the slow "search" option in Amara and looking at each talk individually. To encourage volunteers to get things done we need more control of the pipeline and clear priorities.
Our tool to track the progress:
The spreadsheet self-updates on your request after you have input all the relevant data. It looks like this:

Here is the link to the TEMPLATE which you can copy for your team.
Please follow the instructions from the spreadsheet or continue reading.
What to do to make it work?
If the spreadsheet does not work go to:
Tools -> Script editor
in the menu and then:
search (CTRL + R) for instances of "pl" and replace them with the short code for your language. (DO NOT REPLACE ALL, PL is a common letter combination and the script will stop working if you click replace all)
Remember to save with the floppy icon :))
