How do I create an extra "Quote" for the portal?

Adding the extra quote

1. Go to the page Portal:Main/Quotes.
2. You will see the existing quotes. To create a new one, click on the first red link to a subpage template (it is very important that it is the template, not the page). For the 16th subpage, it looks like this: Template:Portal:Main/Quotes/16.
3. Clicking on the red link will create the page for you. On this page, insert the following:

{{cquote|Text of the quote|||Who said it?|Where?}}

Ensuring that the random counter knows there is one extra page to choose from

1. Now go to the page Template:Portal:Main/Quotes.
2. The text on this page looks like this:

{{Random subpage|page=Portal:Main/Quotes|start=1|end=13|seed=2}}

Set the number after "end" to the number of the subpage you just created. This means the portal picks a random quote from among 13 possible subpages.

How do I select an extra article for the "Selected articles" section of the portal?

2. You will see the existing selected articles. To create a new one, click on the first red link to a subpage template (it is very important that it is the template, not the page). For the 16th subpage, it looks like this: Template:Portal:Main/Selected article/16.
3. Clicking on the red link will create the page for you. On this page, insert the following:

{{Selected article | image = | size = | side = | caption = | text = Type a short text that will be shown in the box and that is introducing the article | link = Title of the page, no brackets needed, no underscores for spaces, just plain text | archive = }}

Example:
