Originally from Colombia and raised in New York, Cathrin is finishing a Master of Arts in Art History with the University of Illinois. Her thesis posits graffiti created post millennium in Bogotá, Colombia as counter cartography, in order to interrogate sign systems underlying the construction of representational images and images of representation commensurate with processes of mapping.
She has a diverse background in educational outreach, special events coordination and marketing, office administration and accounting. She has also acted as an independent lecturer and subcontractor. In the future she endeavors to play a critical role in developing digital and educational resources for university departments, institutions, and independent projects.
